"She Dreams" is a multi-layered mixed media painting from the series The Female Journey.
 
At its center, a delicate water lily and flower represent the womb, surrounded by layers that reflect the complexity of a woman’s inner world. Some flowers are touched with red paint, symbolising menstruation and the natural, sometimes stigmatised, reality of periods. This element highlights the experience of many women, including those with conditions like endometriosis and polycystic syndrome, who may have heavy periods.
 
The painting seeks to normalise menstruation, acknowledging it as a natural part of life, and to affirm that it’s okay for these experiences to be openly recognised and accepted.
